PCM is looking for an Impairments Physican to join our Impairments team and Perform Impairment Evaluations for EEOICPA claimants. This role is fully remote and will conduct the impairment visits virtually.
This candidate MUST be certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) (at least one time, does not need to be renewed and current) OR Be certified by the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians (AADEP).
Paid per impairment/ approx. 6-8 impairment evaluations a day. They range between 30-60 minutes. $500 per evaluation.
Qualifications
Licensed Physician (Medical Doctor)
ABIME-certified OR AADEP-certified
Knowledge of the EEOICPA program and key stakeholders' operating practices (e.g. DOL Resource Centers) is strongly preferred
Physician must not be barred from participating in government programs such as Medicare/Medicaid
Knowledge and experience in using the AMA's Guides to Impairment is preferred
Demonstrates time management, organizational skills, and ability to function with minimal direction
Follows established policies and processes for Impairment Evaluations
Demonstrates strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Speaks, reads, writes, and comprehends English.
Provides exceptional customer service to claimants
Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability
Conduct Impairment Evaluations for claimants according to ABIME and EEOICPA standards by relying on previously established and accepted conditions (illnesses) of the US Department of Labor (DOL).
Educate claimants about the availability of home health care services
Review medical documentation and interview claimants related to the DOL established and accepted conditions (illnesses)
Utilize the American Medical Association (AMA) Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (5th Edition) assign an impairment percentage/rating and draft a summary report for submission to the DOL
The typical base pay range for this role is USD $35,568 - $999,999 per year.
Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience, skills and other market-based factors.
